geese

We went for a socially distanced walk round Arundel today and saw these birds on Swanbourne Lake. I think they are geese, but I don't know which ones.

The goose has always seemed to me an interesting bird, and with a bad character from experience ... hehe ... very good fishing

Good shot, they are Egyptian Geese a non native species, considered sacred in Egypt. they are often kept on ornamental lakes but escaped into the wild. The population is increasing but don't seem to be causing problems for our native birds.
