August Analog #1 by joysabin

August Analog #1

August is not only Abstract August but also 'Analog Month' ( https://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/42341/analog-challenge ) so, here is an old film negative made new. I took this from Yerba Buena looking towards San Francisco. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yerba_Buena_Island ) in 1986. This is long before Tech moved in and the city was still a great deal of affordable fun.
Nice cityscape!

@olivetreeann Thank you so much. I don't think that I would truly recognize SF now, so much has changed since the 1980's.

@jernst1779 Most grateful for the fav. I love working with old negatives since I have a really good excuse to etsooi, which I did here. There were a great many scratches and dust specks.

Somewhere I've got a very similar view taken in 1988... you've brought back memories - thank you.

Wonderful shot. Fav. You've inspired me--I'm gonna look up some of my old pix of San Francisco for analog August.

@vignouse Most grateful for the fav. I miss the old city, too new, crazy and expensive now.

@eudora Very grateful for the fav. You can't go wrong with SF classics.

@taffy Thank goodness for scanners, I am still on the fence about what to do with the negatives. My enlarger and I parted ways some years ago. I still process some but no printing.

@robz Truly appreciate the fav. I shoot B&W for years because I could process at home.

@pistache So very thankful for the fav. The city was a magical place back then now I have no idea.

@pusspup Thank you so much, can't go wrong with the 'city by the bay'

@ingajohansson I can't honestly remember the ASA but probably was T-Max 100.

@haskar Most appreciative of the fav, I am still enjoy film but the old shots hold many memories for me.
