PMAE No 132

Its BACK! I was going to continue with the flowers and the lensbaby but it snowed last night. I believe we have a wonderful 3 inches out there which is so far below a normal that it is almost scary. We haven't had any measurable precip since October. I truly hope that we are blessed with a great deal more. Our average amount of snow is about 100 inches for the season (October - Marchish).
Boo
oooh lucky...we are waiting for the payload here as well...we have had three lots so far but then it melted.....

So that's what 3 inches of snow looks like! Pretty shot.. I like your processing. If we were to have 3 inches just once in a season right on the coast of west Wales it would be headline news!

We've been white here since before Christmas which is slightly unusual for us. we often get a little white just before Christmas but then it usually melts. this year it came early and the temps have been low enough that it's never melted and subsequent falls have just built up on top.

VML how the snow and the light make everything look...cuddly!

We hardly ever get snow and this much is unheard of. Atmospheric shot.

Super cool 😍

I like the somewhat eerie processing!

Great snowy landscape Fav

@huvesaker I'm hoping for much more. The tourists haven't been happy recently. The mountains (8000 ft and higher) did get a lot more so, the skybowl on Mt Humphreys will be busy soon.

@yrhenwr Very grateful for the fav, this is a tiny bit of snow but I'll take it. Higher up there was at least 14+ inches.

@gardencat Lucky and we dope to match you. The people from Phoenix who come north for the snow have been very disappointed lately- that will change now and so will traffic around here.

@gerry13 Thank you so much. I got up early before the sun rose and snuck outside to snag a shot or two.

@ingajohansson It was before the sun rose and it was just beginning to get light. I went into editland for a old time look but you're right, it does have a spooky feel.

@pistache Thank you so much. I took my larger camera out at first but no image so, grabbed the iPhone and its LB's. Got my shot and then it dawned on me, I still had the extension tube on the bigger camera- my excuse, no coffee yet :):)

@dorsethelen Thank you so much. It is fun and addicting to play with blur.

@s4sayer So kind, thank you. The pre-sunrise light was 'asking' for an edit so, I just couldn't say no.:):) I'm also lucky that it wasn't too cold outside.

@quietpurplehaze Thank you, the snow is slow to show up this year.

@joemuli Thank you so much.

@overalvandaan Very grateful for the fav, thank you so much. The sun hadn't come up yet so I went with dark. It does look creepy, except for the wagon.

@stephanies Thank you, I really do like the iPhone lenses.

@rosiekind Your are so very kind, thank you for the fav. When we get more I hope to go out to the forest and get some more shots.

Great shot and processing.

Love this, very dark and wintery. I can’t imagine it as we are going through a heatwave on the other side of the world

i'm finding this like a scene from a dream, not creepy persay, more distant
January 13th, 2018
@ezzzmaay I have heard of your extreme temps, so unfair. We are having a late and dry snowy season so far. The pre-sunrise time was what gave me the idea to do darker.

@haskar Thank you so very much, editland is a fascinating place.:):)

@francoise Thank you and I agree with the less than sunny happy snow feeling. Maybe I should have tried for happier as it was the most snow we had so far this season.
