Salk Institute by joysfocus

Salk Institute

I was not happy with my photo for the day so this is one I took a few weeks ago. This is in La Jolla (San Diego, CA) where researchers study molecular biologies, Alzheimers, cancers, infectious diseases, genetics, and neurosciences among other things.
The institute was started by Dr. Jonas Salk who developed a cure for polio.
How many remember taking the sugar cube polio vaccine in grade school? I do.
What a great shot! Love the figure in the back! I still need to check this place out!

Great shot, Joy. I like that it looks like you can see to infinity!

Great perspective and clean lines. When I was in elementary school in the 1950s, we had shots for polio, no sugar cubes involved that I remember.

This is a wonderful capture. Love the symmetry. I've never visited this place even though I've visited La Jolla a few times. I saw another capture recently here in the project. FAV and follow.
