These birds are from Africa and grow to 4 feet tall. They have 2 at the zoo here and they're both about that size. They flush their prey out by stomping on the ground and vegetation. They like small mammals and also adders and cobras for dinner.
Fabulous capture of this wonderful bird. I absolutely love these birds and was lucky enough to see one catching a snake and thrashing it to death before eating. FAV!
