A damp day in the city and no indoor sanctuary. Quite a lot of people were buying food at the market and standing under the overhang of shops - I hope on Monday they embrace it a bit and allow outdoor sheltered seating where there is space. I hope this chap has somewhere to go at night - as far as I know the ‘everybody in’ scheme is still ongoing. Flags at half mast all over town and it’s interesting to see the choices - some huge college flags, St George’s flag with an extra shield on the church and good old Union Flag at St John’s.
Weather: drizzle all day
Covid: large tracts of the city and county with zero Covid cases last week.
Good thing: new shops opening and old ones re-stocking ready to go on Monday.
Soon as I saw the bicycle I knew it was yours! I love these sort of photos...interesting twist, a bit of a story & lovely Cambridge! I agree wholeheartedly about shivering in doorways & no seats! Harry & his little bowling five have to stand up outside when they go for their coffee & cake...old joints don’t like it! He comes back stiff & cold!
@jamibann thanks! I’m a bit annoyed because the window to the right of the bike had a really good reflection but it got cropped when I straightened the photo - if I’d done it straight in the first place....!
@judithg I often have difficulty getting straight shots too ... probably the main thing I have to amend when doing any editing of images. I still think this shot is fab.
