We went to see our old friends Roger and Tara in Leamington today so that Roger could show Rachel around Warwick University. We haven't seen them in far too long but they are the type of good friends you can drop straight back in with as though you haven't been away. I do miss them and hope we can get together again soon. It was a foul wet day and the journey in both directions was pretty hairy on the motorways. I didn't take any decent shots so I'm marking the day with a picture from last Friday's much more civilised ways of travelling - on water and on foot - St Paul's, the Millennium Bridge and the Thames from the 3rd floor cafe of the Tate Modern. I've been struggling with a snail-like broadband this last couple of days so apologies if I've missed anybody's pics and huge thanks for all your recent feedback.
ahh Judith , that will be Warwick university in Coventry !!!!!!! (very confusing that !!)
nice subject, great view point and the subtle tones work well here.
I saw a superb image in a photo magazine a few years ago, it was from the window in one of the cafe's in the tate modern....a man sipping coffee sat by the window with st. pauls in the background.
I wanted to recreate the image but didn't have the bottle to go in the restaurant and ask someone if i could do a photo (all the window seats were taken)
I'm a Londoner born and bred. Although moved away 3 years ago for a split life in Wiltshire and France. Need my London fix at least 3 times a year. This part of London I know very well. Lovely shot.
