My best side.... by judithg

My best side....

Sorry for a quick post and dash tonight. I've been to a careers thing at Adam's school and it's taken up quite a bit of evening. I had a lovely nip out at lunchtime with my friend to see the delightful dahlia's at Anglesey Abbey. I have a large collage in mind to show off the colours but in the meantime you have one of the griffins who keeps an eye on the flowerbeds.
Three good things:
1. Dashing dahlias
2. I've bought 'The Hairy Dieters Cookbook' so I will now immediately lose weight
3. Adam's 'Morrisby Testing' (loads of aptitude/intelligence test things) came out with surprisingly accurate results I think and confirms what he wants to do - it still doesn't tell us how to get there though.
Do not open that cookbook, I have seen the series and you will put on weight with all that lovely food. delish.

He's posing. I just bought Yotam Ottolenghi's plenty and am awaiting delivery with anticipation.

@fueast Hmmm possibly classier than The Hairy Bikers. @cookie123 I did go straight past roast pork as they suggest that we should have the willpower to avoid the cracking....

There is a vast difference between you & the hairy bikers Judith but glad you picked some good old Lancashire lads to guide you through losing weight!! Have you caught the griffin with his jaw dropping in amazement at the dahlias! Look forward to the collage!

Your griffon is interesting, your diet book is too as is the Morrisby testing! I'll have to find out more!

Judith, you have got some nice textures in the griff' :) ...i think you can blag a few more pics next time you visit him because he looks very stately and has some interesting close ups to capture:)

Nice griffin and an interesting day. I'll look forward to hearing all about the diet cookbook. However, I've just lost (???) pounds using a diet I took from Prima - it worked a treat.

Looks as if the griffin has been dieting and is just about to gorgeon the dahlias. Warning re dieting and wrinkled skin as the griffin will attest.

@fueast haha! I have it!

Looks a bit dispeptic. Must be the all-veggie diet.

love the contrast of textures and colours!
but resisting the crackling just sounds like cruelty...best to skip past that one indeed!

But the cracklings are the best part! I guess this griffin had to give them up.

Love the griffin. I'm trying to decipher his expression.
Good luck to Adam in figuring out his career path. If he wants to become a fitness instructor, tell him to major in history, graduate, then wonder 'what the heck am I going to do with a history degree'.... :)

Nice old griffin you caught here, like the way he is peeking into the picture, your trip sounded fun! I just lost 11lbs with Slimming World, not as much fun as the Hairy Bikers I'm sure!

Really nice contrast, the stony-faced griffin and the lush flowers!

Really unusual, but also really cool composition! Can't wait to see the collage. Where do you want to lose weight, Judith? Behind your earlobe ;)? I just got a spam mail this morning with the heading: the belly must go! I was apalled ;)).

Great perspective and composition!
