Follow the star

Sadlly sometimes when you find the star it isn't Baby Jesus that's under it... I've rejected a couple of 'artistic' scenes in favour of this one which amused me this morning. I don't know what they're doing to the decorations but none of them looked enamoured to be working on a Sunday. I'm having a lot of fun with the new lens and a couple of others from this morning may well appear soon.
Three good things:
1. Headache much better - thanks so much for all of your good wishes. Time for the physio to un-knot my shoulder I think.
2. Adam's hockey tournament is on a knife edge - won one, lost one, drawn one, two to go - top two go through. May or may not be a good thing! I've been banned from going because he's nervous so...
3. Other mothers and their ability and willingness to text results from hockey tournaments.
Quite an unusual shot. He definitely doesn't look like baby jesus... Good too hear your headache is gone. Would love some physio for my back, too. Still getting used to breastfeeding...

Bless him. He's trying hard to look like one of Sana's elves there I'm sure.

@fueast Yeah - full of Christmas cheer...
November 18th, 2012
Oh this makes me laugh, too.

@jannaellen It's not easy at first - and the back thing is horrible - I think they spend ages getting used to the extra weight and then can't cope when it's gone.

Hilarious!!

He just needed a Santa hat and it would have been ok! Well spotted.

Funny how you capture this guy. Glad you are enjoying your lens.

Love his casual nonchalance. He's taking full advantage of his perch while taking a break from his decorating duties. Fun shot!
So glad you are feeling some relief from that horrid headache, Judith. And good luck to Adam and his teammates with their remaining two games!

A comment on our world and the glitz we confuse with what is really important more often than I'd like. Great shot.

Yes tis coming...heard my first Festive songs in Morrisons this week i could only think fancy working through 6 weeks of those sounds, enough to drown in a butt of chardonnay...understand the hockey waiting, must be as bad as waiting for uni place invites...fingers crossed for all.
November 18th, 2012
hahaha, @jennywren is right, he just needs a santa hat to complete the look!
November 18th, 2012
..tis the baby...no can't be... too young to smoke!
November 18th, 2012
what a find! very good!
November 18th, 2012
He really doesn't look thrilled to be up there, does he? Nice catch. :)
November 18th, 2012
Love your gratitides every day - this one made me laught at loud. My son would ban me too - I so relate. And the other mothers saving you from death by curiosity - precious! This image is also amusing - yes, they look less than enthused.

Great reading all the comments! All your friends! Xmas is coming!
November 18th, 2012
@peggysirk Wins! Through to the National Championships in January and we are going to those regardless :0))
November 18th, 2012
@tsingtao Keep the faith - Medic responses are very slow! Rachel's friends were going crazy but in the end they arrived. And I've also heard that if you don't get offers pre-exams it's more straightforward getting offers once you've got good A'level results.

WooHoo! Big congratulations to Adam and his team!!! National Championships ~ that's major! Absolutely a place for moms to be, in person, cheering loudly!!
November 18th, 2012
@peggysirk And taking photos!!
November 18th, 2012
surely he shouldn't be smoking up there so near to electricity wiring...must be a council law somewhere, or will be one created soon!!!
November 18th, 2012
I like that you've captured that whiff of smoke. Quite amusing really. I think they're closing off the High Street in St Neots for a day to put up the lights!
Glad you're feeling better - it's all that photo taking that's doing it!
November 18th, 2012
Oh Judith this is such a tonic I laughed loudly when I saw it!!!! Such a great catch with the smoke rising in a plume above him & outside one of my favourite shops too!!! He's probably on double time!!!!
Many congratulations to Adam & his team, so well done all of them!! Personally I don't know how you mums & dads stand cheering every week, I would be a nervous wreck!
November 18th, 2012
Ha....funny scene. Looks like he's taking a break or not working very hard on a Sunday!
November 18th, 2012
judith, i'm not too sure if he's 'fagging it' (smoking a ciggie in nottm speak) or this is just condensation on a cold mornig. Clever compositonn
November 18th, 2012
@phil_howcroft Definitely fagging - and his colleagues round the back! I think they were waiting for management to make some decisions!
November 18th, 2012
Super capture. love the title!
November 19th, 2012
Looks like he is walkinte plank
November 19th, 2012
He looks full of the joys of christmas......not =)
November 19th, 2012
Some grand decs going up....and he's having a smoke rather than putting his back into it!!!! Love it!
November 19th, 2012
Ohhh, christmas is around the corner. But yes, unusual and I hope he won't stay there ;D
November 19th, 2012
Obviously having a fag is far more important! xx
November 19th, 2012
HaHa. Until I clicked on the thumbnail I thought it was the "man" on the balcony of the pasty shop!
November 20th, 2012
