Posting late because I was out at book club yesterday evening. We were supposed to be reviewing my suggestion of 'Where'd you go Bernadette' by Maria Semple but it's obviously on lots of book club lists because my friends had a lot of trouble getting it from the local libraries. The three of us who did manage to read it enjoyed it so that was good - it's always a worry suggesting a book. In other news I tackled my disgraceful utility room and it is now marginally less disgraceful.
Beautiful colors, light, and focus!
'Where'd You Go, Bernadette' = fun, funny and poignant. Hope the rest of your book club reads it when they get the opportunity.
Great focus and colour. We've stopped suggesting books at our book group. We just choose from the library's list of books they have in multiple copies. We win some, we lose some. We enjoyed Rose of Sebastopol last time and this time it's Brutal Art which is warming up nicely. I have a meeting tonight so the Bake off final will have to wait till I get home.
Fun title and nicely done shot, colours fab. Love the idea of disgraceful rooms, haha! I have got quite a few of those , do comforting to know I am not alone in my shame (and disgrace!)
These are beautiful colours and great use of focus. Will make a note of the book. Am reading Melissa Benn's 'What should be tell our daughters?', but I need something lighter for bedtime reading.
@dolphin that sounds interesting and I've been delighted to hear a few feminist student groups on the radio recently - the 'WAG' culture and the general flouncing around of girls trying to please boys at all costs has been quite depressing of late. Not entirely sure what I can teach my 3rd Dan black belt daughter though - she doesn't have an inferiority complex!
@judithg I'm a bit disappointed in the book, actually - so far I haven't read anything I didn't know already. I agree it's good to see more feminist activity among some student groups, and more women getting politicised about these kinds of issues. We need to work on the boys more though, I think!

I'd like to say exactly the same about the photo. (Must try to find the book!)
