Well The Storm was something of a damp squib in this area which we should be thankful for. It seems to have had quite a narrow focus of intensity. I did beat a rapid retreat from the hen house this morning as the rain turned suddenly dramatic, and we had some strong winds but not enough to justify yesterday's tidying. I need to 'untidy' the bike shed so that we can get our vehicles out. Jesus Green seemed to be totally unscathed though a row of young rowan trees placed in between the parking bays had all but one snapped in half.
Three good things:
1. The young man with a skateboard who suddenly swerved and cycled around me in a slightly threatening way but was actually going back to pull down a branch that threatened to fall on my head.
2. Lots of kindling gathered up by the boat dwellers.
3. Eccentricity and acceptance thereof.
Wonderful composition... but I must ask, is this a real person sitting on the bench or a sculpture? Glad the storm didn't cause serious destruction where you were.
What an odd little group standing among the trees, the guy on the bench is incognito & reminds me of something off the TV for some reason but can't think what. Your leaves are very green & fresh looking still & seem to be holding on to the branches still.
Glad you are all in one piece.Judith.
Interesting collection of people. Enlarged this to get a better view of the seated figure! Of course all the stuff my daughter heaped into the conservatory out of the path of the storm is still there - suppose I'll have to get in there and sort it all out some time soon!
Glad you are all in one piece.Judith.
Here 'the storm' was what I'd call October rain...
Great pic/good thing 3!
