There is a colony of cormorants in a huge tree at Fen Ditton but I don't often see them on the water, especially not close enough for a decent shot. Today Monty was walking so reluctantly that I actually had time to put two hands on the camera and this one out of several shots taking off has past my 'good enough' focus test - just.
