I managed to pick the one part of the day when clouds gathered to walk Monty and sun seems to be vital for photos at the moment as otherwise the light is very poor quality. Luckily as we were heading out of the park it reappeared and made the few remaining leaves outside St John's College Chapel light up.
I had a moment's nostalgia for my previous walk home (15 year's ago!) and so headed up Castle Hill and it was very nice - I'll do it again.
Three GT:
1. Friday and the end of a busy week for all of us - I can feel a G+T coming on.
2. The cricket is happening while we're asleep so we don't have to watch the horrors unfold!
3. The Naval Academy Glee Club Male Voice Choir who have sung rather beautifully at the Kennedy Memorial Service. We have a long and on-going connection to the US Naval Academy and and I'm delighted to find that they have a Glee Club amongst all that macho stuff.
At first I thought the leaves where little gold lights shining.....you have such fine buildings in Cambridge & the windows here just add that different colour & depth.
It seems many years ago since JFK was gunned down but I remember it so well!
Sure know what you mean. Without good light it's hardly worth going out. And I've had three days of good light in a row being trapped inside. Grr. Like your perspective here
That is such a good shot Judith, dof is spot on - and the contrast of tree/leaves/stone is fabulous. This is a fav for me - and the G&T is richly deserved!
