The Copper Kettle is a Cambridge institution on King's Parade. I'm not actually sure that I've been in since I came for my interview but it has appeared before in my 365 Project - in my first January I think and it ended up on the local news when they did a feature on Ross. You can see the lovely 'window' of King's College wall reflected.
In sadder news, one of Adam's wider circle of friends has been killed in a cycling accident - a beautiful 16 year old girl and she's come through the same schools as the children of the poor lady who died in the Russian plane crash. I didn't know either directly but there is a community feeling battered and bruised and families bereft in the run up to Christmas. So I feel extra blessed to have my very tired boy safely at home and I will be doubly happy to welcome Nigel home tomorrow and collect Rachel on Sunday.

Tremendous shot here Judith, full of character and charm.
Yes, very sad to hear about this young lady killed whilst cycling in Cambridge, a terrible and tragic accident which unsettles us all. When I hear of things like this I cuddle my children just a little bit tighter. Fave for the shot.
A great shot, Judith. I used to frequent the old Copper Kettle a lot - it had a wonderful atmosphere, but I'm not so keen on the modern version! Such a tragic loss of a young life.
Some lovely pops of red inside that fabulous restaurant. Love the reflections indicating it's choice location.
I'm saddened to read the news concerning the death of the young cyclist. Tragedies remind us of how fragile and precious life is.
The mixture of reflections and people here give a ghostly feel. Horrible news about the cyclist - it does make you want to wrap your children in cottonwool.

Such a shame about your news.
