Hanging around Great St Mary's

Another shot from my jaunt arount the market and Gt St Mary's on the 14th which was a bumper day for pics I've been pleased with. This is one of the council's hanging baskets - I don't know what the yellow flowers are but they're rather pretty - by the North (?) window of the church. Are churches built facing a specific direction? I'm sure Rose @daffodil will sort me out. No processing for once - didn't even start so I wouldn't be drawn in!!
