I took on the job of disassembling all of Mom's photo albums. I wonder what she'd think!! Then I sorted them into 10 piles for us 10 kids. What a job. But it's done and now I will scan a few of the favorites so everyone can have those. That picture of my Mom and Dad was my absolute favorite of all that I found.
oh, I have a huge lump in my throat! I am sure that it was very sad and yet healing to do this chore...and it is a step into recovery for you. My grandmother treasured her albums and asked my Mom to keep them when she died. A year or so later, my Mom decided that each of the kids should have their own photos and so she went through them and sorted and put each kids photos back into those old worn albums. She also scanned hundreds and gave everyone copies of the ones that everyone would have wanted. It was a huge job. She cried and cried when she was tearing them apart, knowing Grandma wanted them left together...but in the end, seeing how happy each of her kids were to have photos that they would view and pass on to their own kids, instead of having them sitting in albums on a shelf at one person's home just made more sense. I think you made a wise choice as well. This is such a touching shot! FAV
I love your picture of your work and I can certainly see why you love this one the best. It conveys such personality and love and this picture seems to speak more than 1000 words! I think it is one to keep and cherish forever!
