Look like Day Lilies to me...?

@bobfoto Roadside tiger lilies, I think? Maybe they're also called day lilies? I don't know, but we have zillions of them around here! Thanks for the views! :)

Ah the joys of the common name. I know Tigers as Lilium orientalis which you may not them as Oriental Lilies or even Oriental Tiger Lilies and they are well known in the florist trade. In North America, there is a wild Tiger Lily called Lilium superbum and no I did not make that up, yes it is superbum. And this is quite different to what you are showing here, but a similar colour. I think these in shot are Hemerocallis sp. and they're edible but not extremely tasty. And we call 'em Day lilies because each flower lasts only for one day.

Definitely Hemerocallis! Are you a botanist? Anyway, thanks for the tutorial. Now I can impress all my friends by saying, "Ah, gaze upon the abundant Hemerocallis!" :)
