Can anyone tell me why this is so noisy? exif says, 0.04 sec., f/22.0, ISO 6400, focal length 41mm. Should I have set the ISO lower manually instead of allowing the camera to choose? It was a very overcast morning. Raining, actually. Thanks for any advice you can give! :)
Great smiles.

nice shot and I can't see a lot of noise. However, to avoid this you could have set your aperture to say 7.1 which would have rendered the background out of focus and made the couple stand out. This would allow you to lower the ISO. Having said that I think this is fine as it is.

Beautiful shot. That's a very high ISO, probably your culprit. But, it's not that noticeable.

It is a great portrait Julie. At ISO 6400 you will see some noise even on a DSLR. Shooting with such a small aperture (f22) will also cause diffraction which makes the image softer/blurry. On a crop sensor DSLR you shouldn't use smaller apertures than f16 (unless you absolutely have to of course ;-) I usually never go smaller than f8 or f11 on my DSLR.
