@monikozi Thank you, Moni! I used a macro lens on TV (time value) setting of, I think, 1/125. This gives me an automatic aperture setting of maybe 2.8? A very low number, anyway. I usually use a fast shutter speed if there's any wind bopping the flowers about. When I use aperture priority, I usually set it at less than 10 to get a shallow DOF. I like to use manual focus, so that can make it a bit difficult. :)
oh, thank you, Julie for the detailed answer. I was asking because when I use such a low aperture number, I usually get in focus only the tips of the petals and the tips of the little things in the center, and the details behind (the middle of the petals, for instance) are out of focus. Or, the middle of the petals bodies is in focus and the tips get out of focus. I really like how your entire flower head is in focus.
