Maybe a little gruesome, but I'm always interested in skeletons that I come across. This was an immature badger I found close to one of the lesser trodden footpaths and I've no idea how he met his end but it must have been some time ago as the skeleton was completely clean of flesh and most of the teeth had fallen out. Badgers are very tough and resilient and in this mild winter with food much more readily available than in a hard winter I doubt many have died other than those hit by cars
