This little wild flower is a type of geranium and grows extensively in all sorts of places. It was named after a a medieval monk called Robert who used it successfully in herbal treatments. It supposedly has antibiotic, antiviral and antioxidant benefits, it has fly repellent properties, and has even been explored in the treatment of Cancer. Some of its many common names include Red Robin, Death come quickly, Bloodwort, Storksbill, Dove's Foot, Crow's Foot, or Stinking Robert.
Brilliant detailed close up. I have Herb Robert growing all over the place but I never knew all those facts about it. The only other name I have heard it called is storksbill which I think is sometimes used to refer to all the geranium family.
