Check mate.. by julzmaioro

Check mate..

Rediscovered this Chess Set that has been hidden away in the cupboard for some time... Not sure how old this would be as it belonged to my Husbands Great Grandfather.. so would be well over 100 years old.. I think the white pieces could be ivory ( sad face) but I think the red is wood.. they have a hand made board and box that is really quite beautiful... we are not chess players, so have not had much wear over the last 40 odd years..
Superb reflections, love this

Superbly set up and shot Julia. The reflections are so crisp and perfect with great lighting. A great way to immortalise an already-old chess set.
