Karo flowers.. by julzmaioro

Karo flowers..

These are the flowers of the Karo tree, a NZ native that is often used as hedging in Coastal area's which we are... Had not really taken any notice of the flowers before, but they are such a rich red.. the only draw back is they are very proliferate and we end up with little Karo plants popping up in the garden..

They sometimes have a nice spicy scent too. And those sticky seeds that cling to hair and woolly clothes and of course feathers. This is a great study of these tiny flowers. You have the lighting and the colours just right.
