This is a New Zealand Native.. Sophora and is one of only a few Native tree's that is deciduous. In spring time the tree is covered in this vibrant yellow blossom and then the leaves come followed by a seed pod that resembles a pea pod.. The birds especially our iconic Tui love this tree.. had hoped to see some feeding on the nectar today but they were all too quick for me..
