The Photographer was harmed in taking this photo...

Went for a walk with my camera this morning, and thought I would get a shot of this lovely bit of 'Farm Art'.. a very old Macrocarpa stump.. I have never known a tree to be here so it has been like this for 38 years at least.. and has been rubbed smooth by the cattle over the years.. As I was leaving the paddock and reaching over to shut the gate I got an almighty 'Bolt' from the electric fence... let out a scream and the cows did show some concern... probably.."Serves you right'
I absolutely hate getting caught by the fencer........you will be even more wary now......I feel for you Julz....bet the old heart was going!! No wonder you couldn't sleep! Beautiful shot you got though ....the cows wouldn't have any sympathy!

I've always been very careful to see those rubber clips on the wires and so not touch! I guess it was an accident on your side. This would really liven your day up! Interesting old stump and good lighting for it!

Some things are worth the pain. Great image.

I like the way you've framed the tree system as the 'star ' of the shot, but have the context from the cows in the background. Good use of DoF.
