Had a Sunday drive with @dide and hubby and Farmer George today and went to the 'other side of the river' the landscape alway's amazes me just love the limestone out crops and rock formations. The Toi toi in the foreground is looking particularly lovely at the moment.. The skinny little tree that was struggling to grow coming out of the rock was what caught our eye..
Great image looking through the toitoi - was a lovely day out and nice to relax at the Nikau Cafe - the boys must've been driving, as I took far less photos than when we head off without them!
@julzmaioro oh wow I thought I recognised the feel of the cafe in the other photo....you lucky people!! I miss not going there this year plus next year when we come over Waitetuna Valley is much further out although Jo says we will still go. I can just imagine you sitting in the sun there eating a delicious pizza. I recognise the landscape but what are Toi Toi?
@julzmaioro Obviously pampas grass when I read the other comments...a new word for my dictionary!
Ant & Jo's new house has the roof on & they are expecting the windows on Wednesday. Cattle races etc to be built yet but they hope to be moved in by beginning of May.
