Today we (@dide and myself) were lucky enough to meet up with Junko @jyokota who was on a flying visit to New Zealand .. It was very lucky that I had to be at the airport today around the same time as Junko to drop my Sister off.. What a lovely time we had, it felt we were meeting an old friend, and I am sure this will not be the only time we cross paths..
I am just very sorry we could not lay on better weather while Junko and Bill were here..
It was fitting that we are standing infront of Jean Battens plane for this shot.
It was so nice to meet Junko and time goes quickly when chatting with someone you already feel like you've know for ages. Safe travels @jyokota was lovely to meet you. Thanks for organising this Julz.
Timing is everything sometimes! How lovely you got to meet up. I will be at Auckland airport very early on Monday morning if you happen to be there ;) We'll also be at Matarangi with kids this time from around the 19th - 26th October if you feel like a drive!
A FAV time together, for sure! It's hard to believe we just met in person for the first time, we had such an easy and lively conversation. I knew I had to set my alarm for when I needed to leave because we instantly hit it off with engaging chatter. And still, I think I was perhaps the last person on the plane because I got "randomly selected" for that screening where they check every inch of you and your belongings (the camera backpack) and wipe "bomb checking wands" across your body, your pockets, etc. Ah, well. Not long enough of time together in any case. Looking forward to our next already! Thanks, @julzmaioro and thanks @dide for meeting me!
@jyokota Oh Dear.. I am always that random person that gets those extra checks as well perhaps it is the camera gear that attracts attention. .... until we meet again..
