Farmer George and I took part of the day off today and went up to the city .. George wanted to check out the Navy ķMuseum ( His father was in the navy during WW2) .. was most impressed with the Museum and then we went up to North Head where the Home Guard we based to protect our shores..
The views are stunning and it was great to see so many people out and about enjoying the first signs of summer.. Farmer George is looking out over the Waitamata Harbour to Rangitoto Island which is one of Auckland's many Volcanoes..
I straight away recognized the Rangitoto profile; I have one shot from Mission Bay that is a favorite. Evocative photo, and wonderful to see that you are having some sunshine in NZ.
