Today was Rememberrance day, and yesterday I took this shot of our local Cenitaph, and the gardens are looking very pretty .. Tomorrow it would be 3 years since my Mum passed away and during WW2 she was a WAAC... ( Womens Auxilary Army Corps) .. she was based around the Auckland Harbour to keep and eye out for the enemy ...
A very nice image to remember both your mum and Remembrance Day. It is good that the gardens are kept so nice for these important dates in World and NZ history.
It feels as if with everything else going on in the world that Remembrance Day has taken a bit of back seat this year in the media. Its nice to see that we haven't forgotten
A lovely composite Julia. The Gardens do look so bright in rememberance of all those that gave their lives. And what a great memory of your mother as well.
A FAV!
