Monach Caterpillar...

I was reading the latest edition of my D-Photo mag (NZ photography mag) and there was some amazing macro shots using extension tubes.. So decided to give them another go .. This little guy volunteered for the job.. but I wish he would just sit still .. So think I need a little more practice..
I like how it picked up the detail of his 'feet' ..
He is now retured to his favourite swan plant and munching his way through it ..

I've never tried an extension tube, and not sure what they do. Do they allow you to get closer to the subject?

@jamibann Yep I put it on my 50mm prime .. have to use the tripod and there is no room for any movement ... come in a set of 3 and can be used either individually or together .. the more you use the harder it is .. practice practice..
