Here is a shot to warm up you poor people in the Northern Hemisphere that are suffering a bit of a tough winter..
We enjoyed a lovely day out with family today and visited a different beach to where we usually go ... this is only about 14 K's from where we usually go at Karioitahi.. and even though it is West Coast the beach is quite different .. more rocks and lighter sand .. but still surf and rips to look out for .. The local Surf Club do a great job to keep everyone safe, and make sure they stay within the flags.. all sorts were enjoying the beach today .. young and old and their dogs ..
These volunteers are so dedicated. A nice image. We arrived in Rotorua in s huge electrical storm. Most impressive lightning but too much daylight to try photographing it.
@tonydebont This one is not quite as black as the usual beach we go .. but the black sand does go from West Coast ( South Auckland) to Taranaki... It is mined for the Steel Mill..
