Hellebore... Winter Rose..

At yesterdays garden visits the Winter Roses ( Hellebores) were looking spectacular and this one particuarly took my eye.. loved how the one plant had several colours on it .

The hellebores have a true name - winter rose! They don't mind the winter soil temperature or the frost! This is quite a dark one!

@jamibann yes my Mum use to call them Christmas I guess that was from herEnglish heritage when they would of been flowering at Christmas time..
