Pohutukawa's

Today @dide and I went for a bit of a 'roady' to check out the 'Wild' Pohutukawa's out on the Manukau Peninsula... These tree's are stunning in their natural enviroment, and are very gnarly, tough tree.. and this time of year they break out with their beautiful blooms and so are given the name of 'The New Zealand Christmas Tree'.. They are really only just starting so over the next week or two they will look spectacular ...
Yep - a great afternoon out exploring this beautiful bit of country. Nice to see some out in flower already. Great image.

Lovely shot. May I suggest you turn down the yellow saturation. You'll get a more natural look.

Lovely landscape. We have one of these beauties growing in our front yard but the foliage is much thicker than your wild ones and it has the most amazing aerial roots :)
