Mushrooms for Tea...

We have had a bit of rain the last few days so the mushrooms have sprotted again .. Farmer George has got an easy tea to prepare tonight of creamy mushrooms and bacon and maybe toast .. looking forward to it ..

These sort reduce in size pretty rapidly when cooked so hope you have enough. And bacon is perfect as is hot buttered toast!

Oh yummo, when I collected some at his farm he'd cook them on the (clean) blade of a shovel and we'd eat them hot with butter, pepper and salt. What a treat!!

One of my most favorite memories of going on a walk was with a friend who knew mushrooms and we collected a big pile and he cooked them up for dinner, fresh! I've only had such an experience but once in my life.
