The St Elena Canyon trail is one of the most popular trails at Big Bend National Park. The beginning trail is quite sandy with wooden slats to reinforce the trail. Many kayakers and cancers also use the beginning of the trail for its access to the Rio Grande River.
Fantastic shot. I love hiking and looking at this picture I wish I could walk through the space between those rocky mountains and curious to see what we find next.
