"Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts." (Rachel Carson) I spotted this leaf on Vineyard Mountain trail yesterday. The brown/black and teal growth caught my eye. The teal color makes me think of lichen but I cannot identify what is growing on this dead leaf.
