A step back in time

Today the Brunner Mine bridge was a placid place to be, yet 120 years ago 67 men and boys were killed in a mine disaster here. Terrible times.

It has always been a very dangerous occupation. There has been mining here in Cornwall for more than 3,000 years and I hate to think how many have lost their lives in those mines.
