finally got out to do some astro for the technique challenge, there was a slight pause between blue hour darkening enough to see the stars and full-moon rise behind me, the light of a full moon makes stars less visible.
Nicely done... yes - the moon gets in the way of astrophotogrophy! I’m still waiting for a clear night... seems like it’s been overcast here for weeks!
