Absolutely nothing! This is nature at it,s best! If the Bird sits on a fence post under a street light the judges will say it is unnatural, submit this sharp shot and see if they say the Bird should not be sitting in the shade Lol..!

@genesis_one lol, thanks corrie, I am on the look out for this bird again today now the sun is shining to see if it makes a difference, I should be able to use a faster shutter too, of course now there are only waxeyes, and my battery has gone flat!

Great capture. I can't believe how camouflaged that bird is.

@daisy @writingdays @gigiz thankyoou, I realised it looks better large when you can see the colours a bit better, Gigi they were named by settlers as cabbage trees because Maori use to lop off the heads and eat the succulent part where the leaves join to the stem. I don't think the berries are edible by us though. maybe I should try one . Apparently this plant is a giant lily, this is what they look like http://365project.org/kali66/365/2013-01-09

This looks really good on the large view. The colors are good there. What I really like is how the black in the berries mirrors his black and then you have all that white for contrast. YOu have got the berries so clear in the cabbage trees. Highlights in photoshop may have lightened the photo but then you would have had to make other adjustments to keep that wonderful depth. I agree with Corrie. Good shot. Black isn't easy and you can see all his features clearly, even his eyes.
