sleep by kali66

sleep

I feel my thoughts
wandering , twisting
down the maze-like
alleyways of my mind
strange new thoughts
and ideas are found
wandering through there
filled with pitfalls
and dead ends

sleep calls to me now
it has been a long time
since i have indulged its requests
and it wont be long
until it no longer gives me a choice

>Halil

I found this poem in Halil's drawing book after his death. he was a poet and an artist but he didn't develop those skills in this life. The internet sucked his creativity out of him.
So sorry for your loss :(

What a difficult poem to find. My daughter wrote poetry too and I find I can't read it now. Such a sad time for you, but well done for being so creative in your expression.
