murk

for the artist challenge

Amongst other telling subjects David Hoffman takes photos of pollution as activism, to make a statement about environmental issues. So I went looking for some. There were some brown gobs floating down the creek today, there are sewerage ponds upstream .......but 1 +1 doesn't necessarily add up to what you may think, I hope it was just clumps of scungy algae! Made a good photo with the alternate moving reflections of the sky and the bridge above. I think I uploaded this a bit small even on magnify its a bit hard to see the gobs lol
Very very nice and a stunning idea..I like this one a great deal.

I can sit here forever to decipher the patters, I saw spoon, hat, bird and guess what , a toilet bowl. If I were you I will enlarge it and hang up on the wall - not in the bedroom though, I shall stare at it forever.

Who'd imagine that murk could look so good. Looks like art.

i like that this isnt trite. its a great triptych that seems rather abstract and powerful, but it doesnt feel like the whole point is to bludgeon someone about an issue, and i find that more helpful and relevant in activist-ish art than people coming after you with an ax, even a very beautiful, artistically created ax.

@wynne yes unusual for me to like brown but it is a rich colour here, :)
