As a child I remember seeing a 'rag and bone' man and the TV programme Steptoe and Son was a family must watch! Now we have a small truck that comes onto the estate every now and then, so we often see bits of metal left outside peoples houses waiting for it to go. Must be worth the drivers time to keep driving around the town looking for stuff to collect and take to the scrap metal merchant.
