Lamb Mold by kathyladley

Lamb Mold

This is a very old metal mold of a lamb. It may have been for baking I am not sure. It is two pieces so you can see the split between the front and back. It was a gift from my sons. They love antique stores.
Beautiful still life...wonderful antique patina... and I would guess your sons know how much you love sheep! Love the fresh flowers!

Like the way you have captured a lamb mould in surrounds that would be second nature to a real woolly back: great !

I REALLY like the composition, colours and different textures Kathy. I think you need to find out what the mold was used for and make something with it.

Hi Kathy, I love this lamb mould. My son collects French antique baking tins/moulds and when he arrives today, I am going to show him your photo. I have never seen anything like your lamb mould before. Love the photo also, the crispness of the hessian in the background really sets it off.
