Girl Child celebrated the end of her summer internship tonight.

She was herself, so she was fantastic :)

My attention was drawn to the parents.
Dressed in their ill fitting Sunday best, they sat with discomfort as they watched their children express themselves.
But they were here.
In the morning, I had gone to prison to see my brother. Sitting next to me was a 5 year old and a 9 year old. The 5 year old wanted to know when Daddy was coming home. "Soon" was the reply.
And she was there to reply.

Be where you need to be.
Child or not, we must celebrate the Present.
Maybe kids want things now
because they are in the Now.
