It is a long road isn't it. Then we get the ones who refuse to be vaccinated, go out on protests and spread Covid even further. Ugh!

Now the Genie is out of the bottle there is no way to get it back in again and we will all have to live with cases popping up even if we are fully vaxxed.

Our numbers continue to climb because the entitled don't feel the need to be vaccinated and don't seem to connect the dots between increased hospitalizations, including admissions to ICU and use of the ventilators and lack of vaccinations even though the hospitals are spelling it out in semi weekly posts in social media.

@randystreat We have lots of people the same here, always protests going on about it. Our vaccination rates were very low until they locked us down. No holidays, haircuts, movies, visitors etc until we are 70% fully vaxxed so finally our numbers are growing

Well, according to those numbers, in 3 weeks 71 will be fully vaxxed. And within another 2 weeks, the lockdown could be brought down. Isn't it? I think that news is good news.

@monikozi the people who got AstraZeneca won't be double vaxxed for 12 weeks but all the Pfizer people will be. They are actually predicting 70% double vaxxed by mid October and 80% by late November

We are getting more people vaccinated since a fourth wave hit

A lot of AZ vacc are being brought forward, as per the health advice. My son ended up getting AZ in Sydney, as at that time, there was no Pfizer....and he had his 2nd shot 4 weeks after the 1st. Hopefully lots are the same & 70 & 80% will be here in a few weeks.

@leggzy we’ve been giving our patients AZ six weeks apart so I think you are right that we may reach our percentages in a few weeks. On the news tonight they were saying October 18 or earlier which will be nice.

Good to see that progress is being made with vaccinations, I hope it continues. What surprises me are that there are still people who refuse to be vaccinated. There was a report about a hospital ICU (I think in Manchester), where not a single Covid-19 sufferer had had a vaccination, and the ICU was full.

@fishers it surprises me too. Here they tell us the stats about the people who die each day, most are unvaccinated, a few have had one jab and the odd one who is double vaxxed is very old and/or has multiple medical issues.

We have a good number who are vaccinated her in the US. Unfortunately, lately, it's been the vaccinated who are getting sick. I'm more worried now than before I got vaccinated.

@homeschoolmom my son lives in LA and is double vaxxed, he has just been quite sick with Covid. I'm thankful he is vaccinated otherwise he could've been a lot sicker and ended up in hospital
