What I like here is (sorry for the bum shot) that empty floppy pouch so visible, and then oh my look at that little joey head cuddling under mums chin!
Well, just when I thought I knew what was going on with my 2 wild koalas Bertha and Corky and their joeys-in-pouch... I have a third mum with joey!
Meet Mist, I've seen her on the property only a few times, and her nose pigment patterns are very distinctive. It took me a while to work out who she is once I got the photos on the computer.
I believe she is an older girl and there is a collage of her I posted May 14 from when she was here last December watching over another young mum and joey.

@cashew Kathy, with the fast generations they have she is a grandmother and a new mother, and she may well be a great grandmother for all I know. I would so love to know if Corky is her daughter, but no way for me to know. Still I could make up all kinds of nice stories to myself when I watch them ;)
