Greta had her final vet check yesterday and has been confirmed clear of chlamydia (she never had it but was tested twice to be sure to be sure).
All systems are go and she is being released here on the property again this morning. There will of course be photos and video!
I can't express how relieved I am.
@dsp2 she isn't home yet, a few more hours and she will be. thanks so much for following her and caring! @hermann goodness knows we all need some good news koala stories for a change!
So pleased to hear the good mews , but I am sure not half as pleased as you are and Greta will be when she will be when back in the freedom of her familiar surroundings at Koala Gardens . Bless her and what a gorgeous portrait of her !
@888rachel yes her eye still weeps just the same as it did before we caught her. It's tears weeping from it, and the best they can figure is that she has had an injury at some point that has stopped the sphincter on the tear duct from closing properly. Definitely not conjunctivitis and no chlamydia. the old saying - when you hear hoofbeats you think horses - so when you see a runny eye in a koala you think chlamydia. in this case Greta was a zebra :)
