If I were to get off my quad bike and walk up to the tree trunk he would become very uncomfortable and begin to climb even higher up the tree to increase the distance between us :) So he is not concerned with my presence at this kind of distance, but I am very conscious of not attempting to get too close and respecting and keeping them very wild.
