did you know that koalas actually hug trees to lower their body temperature without losing body moisture?
the tree trunks are cooler than an animals body and panting and sweating from feet or hands is done by moisture evaporation and since koalas don't normally go to a water source and drink, they need another way.

It looks like they love their tree or are being possessive, but that is anthropomorphising and I think real koala behaviour is far more impressive. If you read this far I hope you found it interesting, maybe even got a chuckle :)

They are amazing little creatures. Evolution or adaptation at its best. This little beauty does seem to be saying just that. Now I can feel the cool too, when I look at this cutie.
