@sailingmusic she is lovely isn't she? koalas, however are marsupials, so she is not pregnant. The joey is in her pouch and feeding on milk via a teat, and is around 3 months old (so was born around 3 months ago). They are quite amazing animals :)

@vignouse Hi Richard - usually around 6 months the joey starts to come out. By around 7 - 8 months they are too big to get back in the pouch, but will still stick their head in the pouch to drink milk a few times a day.
By 12 months they are fully weaned and if they are doing well, mum will usually leave them somewhere safe to start their own life :)
